More About  Alan

I’ve been working with bikes since the BMX heydays of the 1980’s 

...and have continued to do so through my time as a soldier and a police officer. I enjoy mountain biking although my passion is for the road. Obsessed with TT racing I still have a taste for adventure. This started with a JoG-LE raising funds for the Highland Hospice and continued with a coast to coast crossing of the Icelandic interior. 

 In 2010 I built a tandem and with a companion rode from the Highlands to Rome raising funds on the way for Macmillan Cancer Support. These rides have been unsupported reinforcing the value of using the right tool for the job and good bike maintenance. 

I’m here with a team of experienced mechanics ready to fix your bike and get you riding again or help you prepare for your next adventure or race. Current ride - Trek Boone.
